Associate Pastor for Youth
Jordan Finley serves as the Youth Pastor at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. His mission in life is to make disciples of God who will live boldly for his glory, with eyes lifted toward heaven, and at the same time feet on the ground and hearts in the game. He aims to equip youth to live in a way that’s unafraid to embrace the call of a costly love because they know Him who loved them first.
So much of who he is, has been shaped by the road of redemption God has led him down. As a youth Jordan grew up in a Christian family, and yet never fully surrendered his heart to Jesus. One of the reasons he is so passionate about youth ministry is because of the confusing time it was for him personally. He wants to equip youth with the spiritual awareness to live a real faith, that doesn’t feel the need to be fake. He understands this phase of a youth’s life represents such a pivotal age where youth are solidifying what they believe and will carry into young adulthood.
In 2011 as a United States Marine, Jordan surrendered his heart to Jesus Christ. He shortly thereafter went to Seattle Pacific University and received a bachelor’s degree in educational ministry. He most recently graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his M.Div. in pastoral ministry. He lives with his wife Whitney and their three daughters Ariah, Aurora, and Aryanna. One of their favorite things to do is share life with the youth and the people of Sandy Ridge. They are avid hikers, enjoy waterfalls, and national parks.
