John Moore serves as the Associate Pastor of Children and Families at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. His aim is to come alongside parents and to help them raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Before coming to Sandy Ridge, John served overseas in the Muslim world. While there, he saw generations of people living their entire lives without ever hearing the truth of the gospel. Based on this experience, John feels especially burdened to ensure that every child at Sandy Ridge knows and loves the truth.

John was blessed with the wonderful privilege of growing up in a Christian family and regularly heard the gospel at a young age. He came to faith as a child and has been walking with the Lord ever since.

John is married to Virginia, and they have three children: Isaiah, Lydia, and Daniel.

John has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Tennessee Technological University and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His interests include family ministry, Old Testament hermeneutics, and the Biblical languages. He also enjoys pickleball, going on family walks, and Mexican food.
